Myčky ovoce se využívají při větších objemech výroby moštu, z něhož se kvašením vyrábí nápoj cider. U menších cidérek jsou myčky ovoce volitelným vybavením, neboť se předpokládá, že ovoce je v malých dávkách umýváno ručně anebo na méně nákladných zařízeních.

II. Drtičky ovoce

Drtičky ovoce se při výrobě nápoje cider používají k rozdrcení jablek, hrušek nebo jiného ovoce na malé kousky, z nichž se následně v lisu vymačká ovocný mošt. Ten je výchozím meziproduktem pro výrobu cideru.
